We recognize the huge contribution made by the Third Sector to life in Wales.

Volunteers make up over half the workforce of museums in Wales, with many being staffed entirely by volunteers.

Trustees also work to further Wales’ museums in a voluntary capacity.

Volunteers are also encouraged to attend our training events and to use the Current Awareness Service. You can read the latest issue of the Volunteers Resource Bulletin from the Museums-info mailing list archives (external link.)

Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA) (external link) is the voice of the voluntary sector in Wales. They represent and campaign for voluntary organisations, volunteers and communities. Information is available on the website for those wanting to volunteer, managing volunteers and volunteering opportunities.
