National Indicators - Mapping to Well-being and UN Sustainable Development Goals

  • Release date: 25 September 2017
Many national indicators will help tell a story of progress in Wales against more than one of the Well-being Goals or United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

To help you navigate these, a tool has been developed (see 'View data' tab). To use this tool, you can select one or more Well-being Goals or United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and it will show you the indicators which map to your selections.

The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 is unique legislation to Wales. The Act provides a framework for us in Wales to be globally responsible and make a positive contribution to these global goals. It puts in place well-being goals, addressing many of these global challenges that are felt by people and communities across Wales. These seven well-being goals will be measured through 46 national indicators. These mappings should not be considered as inferring a direct or indirect technical or legal link between the indicators, well-being goals and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
