  • Release date: 13 July 2016
Jobs Growth Wales (JGW) addresses youth unemployment and aims to create jobs for unemployed job-ready young people aged 16 to 24 by March 2016.

JGW is part of the Welsh Government initiatives to address youth unemployment and is part funded by European Structural Funds.

The evaluation aims to assess the effectiveness of programme processes, measure the net impact of the programme, and assess the value for money of JGW, whilst ensuring it satisfies the requirements of the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO).

The early leavers report explores the characteristics and destinations of young people leaving their JGW jobs early, as well as the circumstances that led to the early drop out. This research also aimed to gain understanding what further support could be offered to employers and young people to prevent early drop outs.
