Business grants

Financial help and guidance for new and growing businesses.

Business Wales (external website) provides information and access to support for people starting, running and growing a business.

Jobs Growth Wales supports businesses to employ 16-24 year olds for 6 months at or above the national minimum wage for 25+ hours per week.

Redundancy Action Scheme helps people affected by redundancy gain new skills and encourages employers to employ a redundant worker.

Tourism investment support scheme supports tourism businesses to upgrade their facilities and increase capacity whilst directly benefitting energy efficiency or environmental improvement.

The Ultrafast Connectivity Voucher Scheme offers grants of up to £10,000 to obtain an ultrafast broadband connection.

EU funding

The Wales European Funding Office manages the delivery of EU structural funds, including:

  • Convergence European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and European Social Fund (ESF) programme s in West Wales and the valleys
  • Regional Competitiveness and Employment ERDF and ESF programmes in East Wales
  • Ireland/Wales Territorial Co-operation ERDF programme.

Transport funding

Transport grants are issued to local authorities, including:

  • Regional Transport Services Grant Scheme which supports the provision of subsidised bus and community transport services.
  • Regional Transport Consortia Grant which supports Integrated Transport and Rail schemes.
