The Review Group made 24 recommendations on the future of the Welsh for Adults programme.
Huw Lewis, Minister for Education and Skills

On 9 July 2012 a review of the Welsh for Adults programme was announced. The aim of the programme is to provide opportunities for adults to learn Welsh in their local communities, in their workplaces or with their families to enable them to use the language and contribute to the Welsh Government aim of seeing the Welsh language thrive.

The review group, which was chaired by Dr Haydn Edwards, was asked to consider how to improve the provision and delivery structures and, in particular, to review the provision of Welsh for Adults in terms of learner attainment, curriculum content, delivery structures and value for money.

The review group has now concluded its work and has submitted a detailed report and recommendations on the way forward for Welsh for Adults, which I am publishing today. I will be considering the recommendations over the summer recess and will publish my response to the report in the autumn.

I would like to thank Dr Haydn Edwards, and the other members of the review group for their work and for providing a comprehensive report and set of recommendations for the future.
